EPCOT

Epcot

The second day of our trip we went to EPCOT. Many people don't know that EPCOT stands for Experimental Prototype Community of Tomorrow. It was Walt Disney's vision of the future. The iconic geodesic sphere is the gateway to the park. To the right you can see the holiday topiaries infront of the park. The park is now similar to a world fair. It is divded into two sections, in the front is Future World and in the rear is the World Showcase.

Our first stop was for lunch at The Coral Reef restaurant. This was my favorite restaurant at Disney world. The entire dinning room is curved around a huge fish tank. You could see sharks, sting rays and many other fish swim past your table as you eat. I did feel a little guilty eating seafood while watching what possibly could be someone's meal swim by! Here are a few pictures from lunch:

We both got to meet our favorite characters at the park. For my husband it was Goofy and for me it was Snow White:

To end the night we had a wonderful dinner San Angle Inn in the Mexico Pavillion. After Dinner we watched the Candlelight Processional christmas show which is a stirring story of Christmas as told by a celebrity narrator accompanied by a 50-piece orchestra and mass choir. Jodi Benson who was the voice of Ariel in the Little Mermaid was the guest narrator. After the show we watched IllumiNations which is EPCOTS nightly fireworks show.
